April 24 ’10: Napowrimo Haiku

April 24, 2010 § 2 Comments

Today’s ReadWritePoem prompt (which took me forever to access for some reason – too much damn poetry, I suspect) was to find a phrase in “The Phrase Finder” and use it as inspiration.

Two problems.  First, I don’t cheat. I picked a phrase and decided to stick with it. Second, is it the 30th yet? I’m wearing down. Using ReadWritePoem has thrown me out of my comfort zone, which is what I wanted, but I’m now tired of not being in my zone. So, today’s response is short and not so sweet. (See, I’m resorting to the dreaded cliché. Sigh.) My phrase was “piece of piss.”

Napowrimo Haiku

Piece of piss for some,
Hard as day old shite for me –
Napowrimo prompt.

Concise and to the point. I think it can be used to explain a lot of things that have annoyed us to no end in our lives as of late.

I know Pamela, and maybe a little perverse to say, but I understand – AND I like this poem for just that reason. It is very perfect for the moment! And I’m half blind at this point in time.
