Working Outside the Poetry Box

February 26, 2010 § 8 Comments

Absence does not create poetry, I admit. My last creative output was Haven, which had a Valentine Day’s deadline.  But it may have an additional incarnation that I’m excited about. The person I wrote it for is an artist and he wants to turn it into a piece of art. I’ll help a bit with the production too.

So does it count that I’m collaborating on art outside this blog? Not enough, I say.

Today I mail off a certification project that I’ve been working for three months and my last excuse is gone. So tomorrow, I commit to write again. And I have to submit to more publications before March 1.

To you who write prolifically and to those who continue to read, I bow my head.
