Nov 16 09: Clouds Don’t Judge
November 17, 2009 § 6 Comments
No poem yesterday with no excuses; I had no inspiration even with this lovely open prompt. “Take the phrase “Clouds (blank),” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make that the title of your poem, and write the poem. Some examples: “Clouds float,” “Clouds rain,” “Clouds don’t exist,” “Clouds block my sunshine,” “Clouds are cool,” etc.”
But, I need to stop whining and write, so here is something for yesterday.
Clouds Don’t Judge
My garage door is bearded with
cobwebs – I’ve missed the mid-year
hose down. There’s no point
in cleaning; spiders weave,
food sticks, beds rumple, vents
blow: the interior and exterior
are the same. Good thing clouds
(and books) don’t judge.
