To Your Inbox! A Poem a Day

images1April is National Poetry Month and the Academy of American Poets has activities to make your poet’s heart sing:

The Free Verse Poetry Project where you submit a photo of a line from your favorite poem written with Hershey’s syrup or raked leaves…

Access to over 2500 poems using your iPhone

Poem in Your Pocket Day on April 30 (no explanation needed)…

and my favorite, A Poem a Day sent to your inbox every morning. Last year’s were better than cinnamon toast and fresh ground coffee – well, extremely close. You’ll receive poems of all styles, most newly published. If they’re like last year’s, they’ll be refreshing and perhaps heart-wrenching.

I’m signed up. Don’t delay – April’s almost here.

Oh – I almost forgot – if you sign up late? No worries. They’ll add you; it just takes a day or two.
