The air is chilling a bit here in Austin, Yom Kippur is over, and my lovely daughter is working at Gruesome Gardens, which has put me in mind of Halloween and writing horror.
I’m thinking about making my next prompt seasonal. I hesitate, because I hate to offer the typical, but I’ve been toying with the idea of a ghost story for awhile. So, I thought I’d look up what “real” horror writers do to make stories work and found The Horror Writers Association, which offers Tim Waggoner’s three basic tips for the horror writer who wants to kick some horror butt.
Doesn’t that sound like fun?
