Being Heard by Millions
2009 July 14
I’d like to be heard (or read) by millions, wouldn’t you? What a rush that would be.
We have about a one in four thousand chance. And the deadline is July 18th, 2009.
NPR is hosting a “Three-Minute Fiction” contest and the winner’s flash fiction entry (<600 words) will be read on air during a weekend version of All Things Considered.
No entry fee. I say go for it! No excuses – it took less than one minute to send in my piece.

I’ve never wrote flash fiction before. This looks like it’s worth trying out though!
Go for it! If you enjoy writing short and sweet, and making the most out of a few words – this is for you.
Tight deadline. I’ll see what I can come up with.
No entry fee, you can’t beat that… thanks Pamela for the news flash.
I’m going to give it a whirl. I did the This I Believe. Thanks for the lead.
Thanks for the heads up PV.
So many writers! Let’s have a wordpress winner. :-)
Thanks for letting us know Pamela, and good luck!
A wordpress winner would be wonderful… and alliterative too. :)
Wouldn’t it be wordstatic? (Oh, I’ve been around Alan Truitt too long.) You have one more day to submit!
Thanks for visiting, Marstead. I’m taken by your blog and look forward to spending some time there.
I don’t know Alan Truitt (should I?), but as Bonnie Raitt (same “itt” at the end of her name) says at the end of one of her songs, “I’m in!” (smile)
Sorry, Marstead, it’s a reference to a fictional character who inhabits a world called Sick Days. The blog is in my favorites. But be forewarned – it’s a madhouse.
I’m glad you’re submitting!
Madhouse! I like that! 9 to 5 Bedlam that’s open 24/7.
Good luck, Pamela!
