Born to Break
2009 June 29
I miss you like my heart is gonna break
I try to bust it loose but
It’s fossil heavy and won’t crack
I’m trapped inside my heart
I have a faint-beat and stone wings
And ancient riddles in my dreams
Some days I am breaking free
And others I can’t breath
Some days I say good-bye
And others I just grieve
I am a pterodactyl egg
A bird with concrete wings

You write so beautifully of such sad things.
Thank you, Linda. I’ve got to specialize in something – sadness seems to work.
Wow…the Michael Jackson things seems to have hit you pretty hard. Tito is available if that helps.
Very nice work.
Damn. I didn’t think anyone would figure it out.
Damn. I am sorry to say I can relate. I wish it were not so. Yet I can’t help but love the way you say it, so beautifully. That Tannerleah, such a wise-ass… *grin*
Thanks, 1WG. I know you get it – your work talks about it too. We can share the trophy for broken hearts, what do you say?
“A bird with concrete wings”
Wow – I really like that line.
Julie, thank you.
Awesome verse there…indeed, you write beautifully!
Great flow with superb contrads.. and you convey such a lot in a single write-up!
I’m glad you liked it – I would not want to disappoint The Dark Lord.
Thanks, DL, for dropping by and for taking the time to comment.
