Poems of the Night
2009 June 20
I’ve mentioned before that The Guardian has a commitment to poetry that I’ve not seen in another major newspaper. (Please let me know if I am wrong.)
In their Poetry Workshop, a major poet offers a prompt and then comments on his or her favorite selections. I submitted one that was overlooked recently(what is wrong with them!), and wasn’t able to come with something for this month’s – a poem about the night.
But there were some lovely submissions and I agree with John Siddique’s first choice.
Enjoy, be peaceful and appreciate.
