Fraternal Twins: Unexpected
This week I bore fraternal twins.
They bear the same last name:
Unexpected.
The first one’s name is P, followed by o-e-m;
A blue bawler, he thrives in isolation,
translucent flesh pierced by silver needles,
a fluid heart sparked by lightening,
tingles on his concave chest
from his frequent resuscitation.
He rarely leaves the nursery.
The other twin is apple-cheeked
and has been living elsewhere; a runaway,
he hitchhiked happily to a home
where he would be welcome. His charge?
To bring change. His name?
Serendipity. I did not notice when he
slipped away, only his return.
